Ive posted this issue previously and still no avail… I bought a 92 accord that was sitting in a lot for 5 years… Got it running after I did a tune up, a new battery, new alternator, and all new fluids. After I ran it for a couple hours and let the engine temp go back to “C” the timing jumped. Found that it had jumped due to a screw on the tensioner coming loose. They tightened it and redid timing… car worked for an hour let it cool down again and same thing… Put new belts redid timing and again same thing worked for an hour turned it off and let cool.. timing jumped.. Got a new tensioner and distributor even got a new water pump (since they were there anyway).. worked for an hour and let cool down.. timing jumped!!! What the heck else would cause timing to keep jumping like this? I called honda to confirm that the ECU didnt have to be reset after timing and nope so thats not the issue… The car runs flawlessly when its on. I can turn it on and off with no sputter of any kind as long as its still at normal running temperature and the car idles smooth. Fans kick on and off as supposed to and everything seems to be in perfect condition with out actually tearing the block down and getting into the guts… Now when i try to start it the first turn sounds like it wants to catch but then spins. If i give it gas as I turn the key it back fires through the intake… Someone please help! I am running low on funds since ive already put in 1500 on parts for a car i paid 200 for.
Would A Fwd Car Be Worth Drag Racing?

admin i want to enter the world of drag racing, for now i only have an fwd car but does it matter. can i get the same performance out of the fwd compared to a rwd. i am planning on buying a bmw m3 there actually cheaper than i thought. but anyways is it worth fixing up my fwd car or should i just stick with the classics and my m3 that im getting.

Engine “whirring” Noise?
March 8th, 2011 admin I wish I could explain this a little better, but I haven’t been able to come up with a better description.
I have a 2003 Ford Focus, and I live in Miami so I do mostly city driving (and high humidity, if that makes a difference to anyone). The car recently had a tune-up and is generally in good working condition. It has about 95,000 miles on it.
I have noticed the last few weeks that my engine seems to be making a “whirring” noise. The best way to describe it is when I am traveling at low speeds (think in a parking garage, where I notice it the most), the engine seems loud, like I am revving the engine when I am not. Unfortunately, the car does not have a tachometer, so I have no idea what the RPMs are.
And this may or may not be significant, but last week the battery light briefly came on – maybe for 2 or 3 minutes and then turned off again.
If anyone has any ideas about what a potential problem could be, I would appreciate it. I am taking it to my mechanic for an oil change next week, and I plan on having him look at it for me. However, he has “suggested” unnecessary repairs before, so I prefer going in with some inkling about what the problem might be.
If anyone has any more questions, I will be happy to answer them.

Bmw 525 Vs Infiniti G35?
March 8th, 2011 admin Today I test drove both vehicles. They were both nice and roomy. (I actually choose a bigger car because of these two. I was originally looking at the 3 series BMW.)
But my question is which do you guys think is better? They’re both 2005 models. I love the acceleration on the G35 and the 525 didn’t compare. Other than that I have no idea which I should choose. basically when i was driving my car 1 week ago it kind of pulls me back when switching automatic gears..which means it jerks when i try to accelerate..yeah that..and whenever i stop at a stopped sign it dies completely..and all the lights from the passager seats turn on..also sometimes it dies when im making a left turn or right…I had this problem before for like 4 days and it went away this was around septemeber it was running fine then it came back again last month..the mechanic told me to do a tune up because since i bought it i did not do it so i did it and it was running fine..then it started again 2 weeks ago..i took it and left my car to him and he said one of the sensors was not giving signal to the fuel or something like that..he replaced it and it was fine for 1 week.
BUT TODAY it started again =”’(…even thought he changed of of the sensors and it was running fine why did it happen again? please help me idk what to do anymore..ty for your time.
Also when i i took it to this mechanic when i just bought the car..he told me these things gotta be fix..tell me if hes right and if it relates the problem that im experiencing now : lower control arm, miner louter tie rold, rear hub assembly, engine mount front , valve cover quouker, evap vacum and fuel filler neck and heater core.
